Redwind | Expressive Paintings in Red Tones | Animal Motifs
I developed the Redwind series in Berlin shortly after the turn of the millennium and primarily exhibited it there and in Wiesbaden. It consists of oil paintings using the "fossil" technique: glazes in red, brown, and black on a tactile primer. The base layer is made from imprints of leaves, twigs, and other small items from the forest on fresh oil paint. During the painting process, sandpaper is occasionally used. Gradually, the finished artwork emerges: predominantly African animal motifs in the savannah.
This expressive art strongly resembles the paintings of cavemen.
All the artworks you see here are inprivate ownership.
