Claim 57 – Abstract painting in dynamism and depth

A monumental work full of energy

This large-format work (100 x 150 cm, 2021, in private collection) is a prime example of my intensive engagement with surface, color and movement. In “Claim 57,” glowing reds and golden yellows encounter a deep darkness that builds up from the lower part of the image. The numerous layers of dripped and dabbed structures create a vibrating visual field that, from a distance, appears like a crowd of people, a field, or a blazing event.

Expressive structure meets meditative expanse

Although the painting appears chaotic at first glance, a surprisingly quiet rhythm reveals itself on longer viewing. The increasing brightness toward the center makes the work appear like a diffuse source of light – a field of tension between power and stillness.

A one-of-a-kind piece for large spaces with strong presence

This work is now in private ownership, but remains of particular importance as part of my artistic development. It is ideal for generous spaces with a strong visual presence.
