An experiment on canvas.

The experimental landscape painting "Marsfeld LXXIII" measures 30 x 24 cm and consists of paint residues glued on canvas with binder. The paint residues used for this painting are colorful. Acrylic paints, oil paints, and varnish residues interact on the canvas in various color, shape, and size variations. The sizes of the paint residues range from fine dust to paint chunks about 0.6 cm in diameter. It is the size differences of the paint residues that allow for a composition.

A warm, small-format unique piece made from paint residues.

"Marsfeld LXXIII" is a small-format painting and looks best in the hallway, on the staircase wall, or in a niche. From a distance, the work initially appears to depict a warm, earthy or sandy, beach-like surface. As you step closer to the painting, you realize that the work is completely colorful and consists of small paint residues. The small-format unique piece becomes more concrete with closer observation: thoughts of wind, water, and eventually the morphology of a beach emerge.

Paintings from the "Marsfeld" series for a truly unique ambiance.

"Marsfeld LXXIII" is most impressive in a bright room. The unusual spatiality - the haptics (three-dimensional) combined with the contrasts (two-dimensional) - creates a special Ambiance, which can only be gradually explored. The spatial effect is extremely subtle, so this painting exudes a very fine, elegant, and stimulating effect.

Paintings in vertical or horizontal rows can also optimally "fill" larger wall spaces.

"Mars" and "Field"

This type of experimental art is not accessible to everyone. Nevertheless, the painting can spark curiosity. The juxtaposition of old(paint residues) and new (painting) and the TitleMarsfeld" - incidentally, a place of political confrontation in ancient Rome - evokes associations with the terms "Mars" (planet, destruction, god of war) and "field" (structure, order).

What's also interesting is the PriceThe abstract landscapes may not be cheap, but they are extremely affordable considering the quality. For some, buying them means a relatively risk-free entry into the world of art. For others, it might be the chance to decorate smaller spaces in a modern, interesting, and cost-effective way. By choosing such a unique piece, you make a subtle statement. The paint remnants alone, as a defining element of the artwork, add something very original to your decor.
