Two paintings become one artwork.
"RE12" is an artwork that falls into the category "Remnants of an Experiment." It consists of two glued-together "Organic Grounds" paintings, which undergo a "correction" through cutting away or overlaying. They were thus revived as "remnants."
In this large-format, abstract painting, a mixed technique was used, consisting of acrylic, water-miscible oil paint, and varnish. However, the word "painted" inadequately describes this technique, as the colors were rather thrown and splattered, leading to a highly experimental result.
Many colors and structures in cool colors.
The variety of structures and colors in this artwork is impressive. The size of the color dots and strokes, as well as the change in brightness, play a crucial role in the spatial perception. The color throw and gradient were repeatedly interrupted during the painting process to control the spatial effect. The result is a natural diversity in color and structure that appeals to the viewer in an unusual, abstract way. Particularly striking are the cool colors in blue, violet, and green, which mix in a complex way with smaller amounts of yellow, red, white, creating spatial depth.
The brightness of the painting subtly changes from top to bottom. In the upper half, the colors are bright, dot-like, and small, while in the lower half, they become somewhat darker, stroke-like, and large. These variations give the impression of standing before a living meadow or field.
Despite the abundance of colors and structures, "RE12" appears overall subtle and can be enjoyed both from a distance and up close. The composition is minimalist and entirely based on experimenting with color throw. In a modern living space, this large-format painting creates a contemporary atmosphere.
Further information:
"RE12" is signed and both pictures are framed. It can thus be hung directly on the wall. The inner frame is narrow and painted green, the outer a shadow gap frame in light green. Parquet adhesive was used for fastening.
The shipping of the artwork is free of charge.
