A Source of Inspiration: "City Stroll" - an abstract painting from the series "The Paint Box."

The mental leaps that the paintbox as a symbol generates often lead viewers towards childhood. The title "City Stroll" is an invitation to steer one's own associations in a different direction without losing the personal touch. Over time, these inspirations can change and develop into a great variety. Thus, the paintbox becomes a source of entirely individual inspiration.

The canvas as the foundation for the paintbox.

The paint box was made from cotton, stretcher frames, small picture frames, and various types of slats. The slats were glued to the canvas and fastened from behind with staples and screws. To create a surface as realistic as possible, the paint containers arePrimed with adhesive concrete and thick layers of acrylic paintAfterwards, the primer was "sealed" with glue.

Acrylic and oil paints, adhesive concrete, and glue were used for the processing and painting of the artwork.

Modern painting on the wall object.

With my experimental painting on the oversized paintbox, a modern wall sculpture is created. The juxtaposition of graceful, sometimes starkly contrasting color fields createsTensions in Form and ColorOn one side, there are vibrant colors, slightly varied but commonly found in almost every paint set: white, yellow, orange, red, green, brown, violet, and black. On the other side, the 'used' paint set compartments and the colored border area: here, white, warm colors like yellow and orange, as well as cooler colors like violet and blue, appear. The spatial effect of the contrasting colors is further enhanced by the shadows cast by the wall object.
