Expressive painting with oil paints: expressive portraits.
The painting "Hunters II" depicts a group photo consisting of 2 men and 2 women in their prime. The small group might represent a global company. Their international composition appears diverse. The assertiveness of the individuals is expressed through the duplication of mouths, and their determination through the repetition of eyes. They seem to take "competition" seriously even among themselves, so the group hardly appears as one. With these expressive portraits, owners and viewers are constantly encouraged to discuss competition.
Preparations for painting
"Hunters II" was created in 2005 in Berlin. The picture was painted on chipboard. This was previously mounted on a stretcher frame. The painting surface was primed with cement, textured, and after drying, completely covered with a layer of glue. This creates a well-protected, unusual surface on which one can paint wonderfully with oil paints.
Interesting facts about "Tara & Fatima"
The portraits in "Hunters II" have no personal significance for me, but, like almost all portraits on the theme of "Hunters," they came into my hands by chance. An advertising photo, an info brochure, a report—portraits are shown everywhere. Some trigger thoughts in me about "competition," which I then use.

Expressive painting with oil paints: expressive portraits.
The artwork "Tara & Fatima" depicts two girls engaged in verbal play. Their heightened sensuality is shown through the duplication of mouths and eyes. They seem to know "competition" only from play and sports. We find this particularly "beautiful." The subtle duplications suggest that competition might play a significant role later in life. With these portraits, owners and viewers are constantly encouraged to discuss competition. The discussion can also contain playful elements.
Preparations for painting
First, a chipboard was primed with cement and textured. After drying, it was completely covered with a layer of glue and then screwed onto a canvas. This creates a well-protected, unusual surface on which one can paint.
