A source of inspiration in art: contemporary painting on the paint box.
The leaps in thought that the paint box as a symbol generates often lead viewers back to childhood. The title "On the Road" is an invitation to direct one's own associations in a different direction, without losing the personal touch. The paint box, painted in a contemporary style, becomes a source of inspiration - from concrete to abstract.
A contemporary painting - experimental art on the wall sculpture.
With my experimental painting on the oversized paint box, contemporary object art is created: a painted sculpture for the wall. Through the juxtaposition of graceful color surfaces,Tension fields in form and color. On one side, the primary colors yellow, red, and blue are accompanied by orange, green, black, pink, and white. These colors can be seen in this or a similar form on almost every paint box. On the other side, the "used" paint box compartments, the colorful interspaces, and the colored border area. The spatial, partly complementary effect of the colors is further enhanced by the real shadows created by the paint box.
The construction of the paint box.
This paint box was built from wooden slats, canvases, and cardboard. The painting object"On the Road III"measures 92x80x3cmand was created in 2017 in Wiesbaden.I first built the paint box with a chipboard and different types of slats, partly by gluing with glue and partly with screws. The small round paint compartments are deep cup lids. The lids were framed in slats of equal height, the resulting gaps were filled with mounting foam and sealed with cardboard before being glued onto the canvas. To create a surface as realistic as possible, the paint containers and paint box compartments were primed withadhesive concrete and thick layers of acrylic paint. Then the primer was "sealed" with glue.
Acrylic and oil paints, adhesive concrete, and glue were used for the processing and painting of the artwork.

Interesting facts about the presentation of the painting "On the Road III".
There is no "top" or "bottom", the painting can be displayed in any orientation. Therefore, the painting is signed on the back. The glossy varnish protects the artwork from color changes. If there is a lot of light opposite "On the Road III" - for example, from a window - the glossy varnish can be replaced with a matte varnish by me. You will achieve optimal presentation if there is space around the painting. The width of the wall surface should be at least 1.5 and at most 4.5 meters, including the painting.
