The canvas as the foundation for the painting.
The large-format painting was constructed from wooden slats, plant saucers, canvas, and stretcher frames. The painting object"By the Campfire"measures 100 x 110 cmand was created in 2024 in Wiesbaden.I first glued and screwed the canvas and the different types of slats together. The paint trays are small ready-made frames for pictures from the hardware store.Acrylic and oil paints, glue, and binder were used for painting and processing the abstract painting.
An abstract artwork emerges through experimental painting
Through the juxtaposition of graceful color fields,tension fields in form and coloremerge. On one side, the primary colors yellow, orange, red, green, blue, violet, brown, as well as white and black. These colors can be seen in this or a similar way on almost every paint box. On the other side, the "used" paint box trays, the colorful interspaces, and the colored edge area. The spatial effect of the colors through contrasts is further enhanced by the resulting (real) shadows of the paint box. With modern, experimental painting on the oversized paint box, an abstract artwork in the form of a painted wall sculpture is created.The result of the painting, thesymbolic power of the paint boxas well as the assistance of a title ("By the Campfire") invite you to associate.
