The seemingly chaotic application of paint creates a large-scale "organic" field, which is "staked out" by the size of the painting.
Experimental painting leads to abstract landscapes.
This was painted with a mixed media consisting of acrylic paint, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term 'painted' doesn't quite apply to this technique. The colors were more thrown and splattered, so this is actually about experimental painting, which leads to an abstract landscape through the painting process.
Especially earthy tones for the living space.
To control the spatial effect, the color application and thus the gradient are repeatedly interrupted for drying phases. The experimental application of color is repeated with different colors until a natural effect is achieved. Diversity in color and texture arises. Primarily ochre, but also brown, red, yellow, orange, blue, black, and white....blend together in a complex manner here, creating a perceptible spatiality through their varying lengths (dot-like and small at the top of the image, line-like and large at the bottom). The eye repeatedly lingers on the pattern-free structures, stimulating the viewer in an unusual way. The result is a painting with predominantly earthy tones, perfect for a cozy living space.
Interesting facts about the painting "Claim 108".
Despite the many colors, "Claim108" has a rather subtle effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance (perception of spatiality) and up close (variety of structure and color).
"Claim 108" is signed. Additionally, the edges are painted white.
