"Claim 96" from the series "Organic Grounds" - Modern experimental painting leads to abstract landscape.
The seemingly chaotic application of paint creates an "organic" field that is "staked out" by the size of the picture. Thus, the title "Claim 96" is to be understood in relation to the picture surface (75 x 65 cm). Painted with a mixed technique consisting of acrylic paint, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term "painted" does not quite apply to this technique. The paints were rather thrown and splattered, so it is experimental painting, which leads to an abstract landscape through the painting process.
Mainly in green and pink - the color gradient.
To control the spatial effect, the throwing of paint and thus the color gradient is repeatedly interrupted for drying phases. The experimental application of paint is repeated with different colors until a natural variety in color and structure emerges. Mainly green and pink, but also red, yellow, orange, blue, violet, black, and white mix here in a complex way and create a perceivable spatiality through their different lengths of gradients (dot-like and small at the top of the picture, stroke-like and large at the bottom). The eye repeatedly lingers on the pattern-free structures and stimulates the viewer in an unusual way. Thus, a painting in atmospheric colors for the living space with atmosphere is created.
Interesting facts about the painting "Claim 96".
Despite the many colors, "Claim 96" is rather subtle in its effect and can be enjoyed both from a distance (perception of spatiality) and up close (structure and color variety).
The mixed technique.
"Claim 96" is signed, and the edges are painted white. The artwork can therefore be immediately displayed with two nails in the wall. The picture needs neither a frame nor a varnish - but of course, it can. I would apply a varnish for you before shipping. You can choose one in matte, semi-matte, or glossy. However, this is not a recommendation. The mixed technique ensures a different degree of light reflection in the color gradients, which I personally find very stimulating. Moreover, the colors sold today are almost non-yellowing. For a frame, I recommend visiting a specialty store near you.
The presentation of the paintings is authentic, but not perfect.
The photos you see above were taken by me - as best as I can. Since I am not a professional photographer, the colors you see may slightly differ from the original. Here and there, the lighting or resolution could certainly be better. I strive for an authentic image of the paintings. However, feel free to visit me in the studio or at the ARTLET if you want to take a look at the original.
Free shipping.
Delivery (Wiesbaden and surrounding areas) or shipping of the artwork is free of charge. During (Hessian) school holidays, delays may occur due to vacations. Delivery pauses are communicated in the header of the homepage.
From expressive art to experimental painting.
I have been a freelance artist since 1997 and have engaged with a variety of themes in painting. While I was almost exclusively involved in expressive painting until 2007, my focus today is more on experimental art. My personal background, as well as almost all artistic themes can be found under "About Us."
