"Claim 96" from the "Organic Grounds" series - Modern eExperimental painting leads to abstract landscapes.
The seemingly chaotic application of color creates an "organic" field that is "staked out" by the size of the painting.That's the title "Claim 96" in relation to the image area (75 x 65 cm)to understand.Painted with a Mixed mediaconsisting of acrylic paint, water-mixable oil paint, and varnish. However, the term "painted" doesn't quite apply to this technique. The colors were more thrown and splattered, so it's actually about experimental painting, which leads to an abstract landscape through the painting process.
Especially in green and pink - the gradient.
To control the spatial effect, the color application and thus the color gradient are repeatedly interrupted for drying phases. The experimental application of color is repeated with different colors until a natural effect is achieved. Diversityin color and texture arises. Mainly green and pink, but also red, yellow, orange, blue, purple, black, and white....intertwine here in a complex manner, creating a perceivable sense of space through their varying lengths (small and dotted at the top of the image, large and linear at the bottom). The eye repeatedly lingers on the pattern-free structures, engaging the viewer in an unusual way. This results in a painting with atmospheric colors, perfect for adding ambiance to any living space.
