The crater from above - an abstract painting made from leftover paint.

The abstract painting "Field of Mars IV" measures 40 x 30 cm, is made from leftover paint and binder, and shows a landscape with a crater from above. The leftover paint used for this painting is colorful. Acrylic paints, oil paints, and lacquer remnants interact in various colors, shapes, and sizes. The sizes of the leftover paint range from very fine dust to paint chunks about 0.7 cm in diameter. It is the size differences of the leftover paint that allow for a composition. This creates a crater in the landscape. Here are some key details about the painting.

Purchase a small-format artwork made from leftover paint for a special ambiance.

The small-format artwork "Field of Mars IV" impresses most in a bright room. The unusual spatiality - the haptics (three-dimensional) linked with the contrasts (two-dimensional) - creates a very special, very modern Ambiance. From afar, the artwork initially appears earthy or sandy. However, the interior of the crater is already recognizable due to its lower haptics. It is created solely by the change in size of the leftover paint. Taking a few steps towards the painting, one notices that all the leftover paint is equally colorful. It's best to purchase this painting for a well-lit niche in the room.

The Fields of Mars can also be nicely displayed in rows.

A contemporary artwork of this kind - an abstract landscape with a crater - is not accessible to everyone. Nevertheless, the result of experimental painting can spark curiosity. The juxtaposition of old (leftover paint) and new (painting) and the title "Field of Mars" - incidentally a place of political debate in ancient Rome - evokes associations around the terms "Mars" and "field."

The presentation of the artwork is authentic, but not perfect.

The photos you see above were taken by me - as well as I can. Since I'm not a professional photographer, the colors you see may slightly differ from the original. Here and there, the lighting or resolution could certainly be better. I strive to provide an authentic image of the artworks.

The photos showing the painting in the room were generated using the "Smartist" app. This app can frame paintings and allows for a neat, chic presentation in different rooms. The size ratio of painting to room is accurately reproduced.

However, feel free to visit me in the studio or ARTLET if you'd like to take a look at the original.
