The idea behind the “Marsfeld”
The "Campus of Mars" (in german "Marsfeld") - historically known as a place of gathering, training and conflict in ancient Rome - is redefined in this artistic interpretation. Marsfeld CXXVI takes up this concept and translates it into the language of abstract art: the layered remnants of color symbolize the coexistence of chaos and order, of change and permanence.
Colors and Textures: The Soul of the Artwork
The fine structure of layers of color creates a surface that conveys both depth and vibrancy. The earthy tones reflect the transience of time, while the bright color fragments act as accents of movement and life. Like on a Field of Mars, these elements seem to wrestle with each other and yet are in perfect harmony.
A play of light, shadow and meaning
The layered texture and dynamic color palette of Marsfeld CXXVI create a fascinating play of light and shadow. They leave room for interpretation: is it a reflection of nature and erosion? An abstract landscape? Or the expression of inner change and dynamism?
For collectors and lovers of modern art
Whether as a centerpiece in a gallery, a highlight in your collection, or a focal point in a modern space, Marsfeld CXXVI adds a unique artistic depth to any setting. This painting invites you to reflect on the meaning of change and permanence.
