The paint box "On the Road" is on display in Wiesbaden.
The mental leaps that the paint box as a symbol generates often lead viewers towards childhood. The title "On the Road" is an invitation to steer one's own associations in a different direction without losing the personal touch. The paint box becomes a source of personal inspiration. The oversized paint boxes can be seen as originals in the pedestrian zone in Wiesbaden (ARTLET) or at the Hellbusch studio.
The canvas as the foundation for the painting.
The large-format painting was constructed from wooden slats, canvas, and a stretcher frame. The painting "On the Road" measures 60 x 130 cm (with frame 64 x 134 cm) and was created in 2024 in Wiesbaden. I arranged, glued, and screwed together the canvas and the different types of slats.Acrylic and oil paints, glue, and binder were used for painting and working on the abstract painting.
Through experimental painting, an abstract artwork is created.
The juxtaposition of graceful color fields creates tension fields in form and color. In the center, the primary colors yellow, orange, red, green, blue, violet, brown, as well as white and black. These colors can be seen in this or a similar manner in almost every paint box. On the other side, the "used" paint box compartments are arranged on the outside, the colorful interspaces and the colored edge area. The spatial effect of the colors through contrasts is further enhanced by the resulting (real) shadows of the paint box. With modern, experimental painting on the oversized paint box, an abstract artwork in the form of a painted wall sculpture is created. The result of the painting, the symbolic power of the paint box, and the assistance of a title ("On the Road") invite association. When imagination is first sparked and stimulated in various ways in the viewer, an open, sometimes very personal abstraction process arises.
Free shipping
Delivery (Wiesbaden and surrounding area) or shipping of the artwork is free of charge. During the (Hessian) school holidays, there may be delays due to vacations. Delivery pauses are communicated in the header of the homepage.
The abstract painting can be displayed in any orientation - it has no "top" or "bottom."
There is no "top" or "bottom," the abstract painting can be shown in any orientation. Therefore, it is signed on the back. A varnish protects the artwork from color changes. You achieve optimal presentation when there is space around the painting. The width of the wall surface should be at least 3 and at most 6 meters.
The artist Mark Hellbusch - from expressive painting to experimental art.
I have been a freelance artist since 1997 and have engaged with a variety of themes in art. While I was almost exclusively focused on expressive painting until 2007, my emphasis today is more on experimental art. My personal background, as well as my artistic themes, which have developed since my youth, can be found under "About Me."
