A source of inspiration in art: the large-format paint box "Discussion Round."

The leaps in thought that the paint box as a symbol generates often lead viewers back to childhood. The title "Discussion Round" is an invitation to steer one's own associations in a different direction, without losing the personal touch. The large-format paint box, painted in bright colors, becomes a source of inspiration - from the concrete to the abstract.

The canvas as the foundation for the large painting object.

The large paint box was made from wooden slats, small canvases, and chipboard. The painting subject"Discussion Round"measures39.76 x 39.76 x 0.79 inchesand was established in Mainz in 2014.First, I glued the paint box together using a chipboard and various types of strips, and partially screwed it together. The color compartments are modified small canvases. To create the most realistic surface possible, they were covered with foam boards and scraped before being painted.Thick layers of acrylic paint were used for the priming before it was "sealed" with glue. Acrylic and oil paints, glue, as well as a final varnish were used for the painting and finishing of the artwork.

Art Between Painting and Object.

My experimental painting on the oversized paint box creates modern, abstract object art: a painted sculpture for the wall. The juxtaposition of graceful color fields createsTensions in Form and ColorOn one side, the primary colors yellow, red, and blue, accompanied by orange, green, black, pink, and white. These colors can be seen in this or a similar manner on almost every paint set. On the other side, the 'used' paint set compartments, the colorful spaces in between, and the colored border area. The spatial, sometimes complementary effect of the colors is further enhanced by the shadows cast by the box. The result of this type of art can be described as a wall sculpture.

What Moves Me as an Artist - Associations and Imagination Through Art.

The result of the experimental art, whichThe Symbolic Power of the Paint Boxas well as the support of a title ("Discussion Round") invite association. So when imagination - once sparked - is stimulated in various ways in the viewer, it moves me as an artist.

Interesting facts about the presentation of the painting "Discussion Group."

There is no 'up' or 'down'; 'Discussion Round' can be displayed in any orientation. That's why the painting is signed on the back. The glossy varnish protects the artwork from color changes. If there is a lot of light opposite the wall sculpture, such as from windows, I can replace the glossy varnish with a matte one. You can achieve the best presentation of the painting if there is space around it. The width of the wall area, including the painting, should be at least 2.5 and at most 5 meters.
