The Color Throw: Between Abstract Art and Design.
The round canvas of the painting "Splash 16" has a diameter of 80 cm. The painting is created using a mixed technique. Both acrylic and lacquer paints were used. The modern approach of this art comes partly from the use of a "painting machine" - a modified drill - and partly from experimenting with paint throwing. The result is initially a design that only becomes "abstract" in relation to the work process.
Bright colors are thrown simultaneously.
The round canvas was initially primed with black. Then, colorful paints were simultaneously thrown onto the canvas: red, yellow, orange, white, green, pink, and blue. The rotation of the canvas causes slight distortions in the paint streaks and the formation of outward-facing paint lines, which partially blend with the streaks.
An abstract-looking painting.
At first glance, the painting "Splash 16" appears abstract. However, "abstract" is a flexible term that is more applicable to the process of creation in this context. For me personally, it's primarily about the outcome of thea fun and entertaining experimentIn the foreground. Alongside the joy of creation, during the painting process, I engage with form and color compositions, contrasts, and dynamics. This engagement can traditionally be associated with design.
Since a lot can go wrong when experimenting, I don't mind starting over from scratch – and I only get a little frustrated in the process...
Decorate your living space or office with the effortless elegance of a splash painting.
The Splash painting creates a pleasant, very positive atmosphere. The lightness is primarily achieved through the elegance and grace of the shapes and colors. Decorate your spaces at a compelling price.
The splash images are round and relatively lightweight. To install them, you only need a Nail in the wall. If you're interested in multiple paintings, you can playfully engage with picture series or even clusters.
