"Steven" from the photo series "At the End Green" shows greenColor fields. The Greenconsists partly of lighter and partly of darker layers of color. They create a subtle, abstract composition that evokes the shadow of a storm. The artwork feels very modern and needs good lighting to fully reveal itself.
Modern Painting in Green: Where Composition and Title Meet, Abstraction Becomes Concrete.
On the green areas of the painting, curved, dark green shapes can be seen. The painting is reminiscent of clouds. In an abstract form, they depict the shadows cast by the clouds of a low-pressure system. Ultimately, the shadows of an enormous, moving cyclone. They appear powerful, dynamic, and at the same time, menacing.
Every modern artwork in the series "Ultimately Green" carries a common first name as its title: in this case, "Steven." The connection between humans and nature is particularly evident here. After all, "Steven" could just as easily be used to name the next low-pressure weather system. Thus, the abstract can be associated with something very concrete.
An optimal presentation of modern painting in green requires a lot of light.
When presented correctly, the artworks in the series "At the End Green" can appear very sophisticated and modern. Unlike artworks with high contrasts, the eye can only appreciate this type of painting if it can perceive the color depth in combination with the fine structures in all their details. Therefore, sufficient lighting is really necessary. A wall that is at least bright during the day or a spotlight can help bring out the painting's elegant appearance to its fullest.
Complex Structures in Painting: The Priming of the Artwork.
The primer was built up from thick, colorful layers of acrylic paint. Additionally, leaves and branches, as well as their imprints, can be seen everywhere. This creates an organic texture that remains after the painting, sometimes clearly, sometimes subtly. After drying, the primed images are sanded with sandpaper and sealed with a binder. Only then does the painting on the artwork begin.
The color green represents nature, and nature represents us.
In very fine layers, different shades of green, ochre, brown, yellow, and blue are applied. After several layers of paint, a green depth emerges that elegantly blends with the complex structures of the base coat. The green evokes the complexity of nature. Nature, in turn, symbolizes ourselves.
