A Source of Inspiration in Art: The Large-Scale Paint Box.

The mental leaps triggered by the paint box as a symbol often lead viewers back to their childhood. The title "The Eccentric" invites you to steer your own associations in a different direction, without losing your personal touch. The paint box becomes a source of personal inspiration.

The canvas as the foundation for large formats.

The large format was constructed from wooden slats, plant coasters, canvas, and stretcher frames. The painting object "The Eccentric" measures 43.3 x 47.2 inches and was established in 2024 in Wiesbaden. I first glued and screwed together the canvas and the different types of moldings. The paint palettes are plant saucers. Acrylic and oil paints, glue, and binders were used for painting and working on the large-format painting.

Modern painting on the palette leads to abstract art.

The juxtaposition of graceful color fields creates tensions in form and color. On one side, you have the primary colors yellow, orange, red, green, blue, violet, brown, white, and black. These colors can be seen in this or a similar form in almost every paint box. On the other side, there are the 'used' paint palette plates, the colorful in-between spaces, and the colored border area. The spatial effect of the colors through contrasts is further enhanced by the (real) shadows created by the paint box. With modern, experimental painting on the oversized paint box, abstract art is created in the form of a painted wall sculpture. The result of the experimental painting, the the symbolic power of the paint box as well as the assistance of a title ("The Eccentric") invite association. Thus, once the imagination is sparked, it stimulates the viewer in a variety of ways, creating an open, sometimes very personal process of abstraction.

Delivery (Wiesbaden and surrounding areas) or shipping of the artwork is free of charge. During (Hessian) school holidays, there may be delays due to vacations. Delivery pauses will be communicated in the header of the homepage.

The abstract painting can be displayed in any orientation - it has no 'top' or 'bottom.'

There is no 'up' or 'down'; the abstract image can be displayed in any orientation. That's why the painting or object is signed on the back. A varnish protects the artwork from color changes. If there is a lot of light facing the painting-sculpture, such as from a window, a matte varnish should be used. This should be sprayed onto the painting no earlier than mid-2024. You'll achieve optimal presentation if there is space around the painting. The width of the wall area, including the painting, should be at least 3 meters and no more than 6 meters.
