A source of inspiration in art: the colorful paint box.
The leaps of thought that the paintbox as a symbol generates often lead viewers towards childhood. The title "The Farewell" is an invitation to steer one's own associations in a different direction without losing the personal touch. The colorful paintbox, art of a very unusual kind, becomes a source of inspiration - from concrete to abstract.
The canvas as a foundation for the large-format color palette.
The large-format paint box was constructed from wooden slats, small canvases, a large canvas, and chipboard. The painting object "The Farewell" measures 92 x 122 x 3 cm and was created in 2012 in Mainz. I first glued and partially screwed together the chipboard and the different types of slats. The color swatches are modified small canvases. To create a surface as realistic as possible, they were primed with adhesive concrete and thick layers of acrylic paint. Subsequently, they were "sealed" with glue. Acrylic and oil paints, glue, as well as a final varnish, were used for painting and finishing the artwork.
Tensions in Form and Color - Abstract Painting on the Paintbox.
With abstract painting on the oversized paint box, modern object art emerges - a painted sculpture for the wall. Through the juxtaposition of graceful color fields, Tensions in Form and Color . On one side, the primary colors yellow, red, and blue accompanied by orange, green, black, pink, brown, and white. These colors can be seen in this or a similar manner on almost every paint box. On the other side, the "used" paint box compartments, the colorful gaps, and the colored border area. The spatial effect of the colors through contrasts is further enhanced by the (real) shadows cast by the box.

Delivery (Wiesbaden and surrounding areas) or shipping of the artwork is free worldwide. During (Hessian) school holidays, there may be delays due to vacations. Delivery pauses will be communicated in the homepage header.
The abstract image can be presented in any orientation - it has no "top" or "bottom".
There is no "up" or "down"; the abstract image can be displayed in any orientation. Therefore, the painting or art object is signed on the back. A varnish protects the artwork from color changes. If there is a lot of light opposite the painting sculpture, such as from a window, the glossy varnish should be replaced with a matte varnish. You can achieve optimal presentation if there is space around the painting. The width of the wall area should be at least 3 meters and no more than 6 meters, including the painting.
