„To experiment successfully, one must not be frugal, otherwise, it will probably come to nothing. New themes in the studio thus consume many brushes, paints (in tubes, cans, or buckets), paper, cotton, paint rollers, canvases, spatulas, and much more. Sometimes you don't just want to throw everything away afterward – it looks so beautiful! Besides, you would have to go to the dump again. Why not make a "still life" out of it?
Even from the supposed chaos and remnants of an experiment, art can "blossom." Here, waste is just another form of inspiration. Old brushes that have already created countless works find a second chance here to become part of a new art object. Paint cups that once contained colors become vibrant wall objects that appeal to the senses. Paint chunks, cut paper works, or glued-together paintings can make the art "work."
"RE" stands for "Remnants of an Experiment."
The simple wear and tear of working materials sometimes create interesting or stimulating objects that can be brought together. But there are also my experimental themes such as "Field of Mars", "Organic Grounds" or "Splash!", which incidentally form the basis for the series "Remnants of an Experiment." From the resulting remnants during experimentation, small art objects and works are usually created.
